Getting started
- Update the Tesla infotainment system when an update is available.
- Connect the Tesla to the Android phone’s hotspot. MCU2 or MCU3 hardware is required.
- Use a 5 GHz hotspot when possible. Tesla vehicles do not support Wi-Fi 6 access points.
- Open TeslaMirror and make sure Tesla Proxy is on.
- Tap Start to begin screen broadcasting.
- For version 9.82 and later, open https://teslamirror.com in the Tesla browser. All three modes require HTTPS; HTTP and direct IP addresses are not supported.
The Free plan includes 15 minutes of casting per day, shared across MJPEG, H.264, and H.265. Premium provides unlimited casting through a monthly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. Existing paid-app users keep lifetime Premium access.
Common questions
Why does TeslaMirror require VpnService?
Tesla browsers block standard private-LAN ranges such as 192.168.*.*. TeslaMirror uses a virtual IP and a local VPN tunnel so the Tesla browser can reach the web server on the Android device. The VPN does not connect to a public VPN server, redirect traffic from other apps, or collect data or logs.
Why does Remote Control require Accessibility permission?
Remote Control uses Android AccessibilityService APIs such as dispatchGesture and performGlobalAction only to translate Tesla touchscreen or mouse input into device actions. Without this permission, Remote Control is unavailable. No data is collected through AccessibilityService.
Is Netflix supported?
No. DRM-protected apps may block video, audio, or both. This includes Netflix, YouTube TV, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, and similar services.
Which video mode should I use?
For MCU3 (AMD Ryzen), H.265 at 720p/60 fps is recommended. Tesla software 2025.38.11 and later also makes H.265 the recommended mode on supported MCU2 vehicles. Use lower resolution or frame rate if playback is not smooth.
Does mirroring use Internet data?
Mirroring traffic stays inside the phone hotspot network. The Tesla may still use the phone’s cellular data for its own online services while it is connected.

How do I find an older Google Play GPA order number?
A complete order number looks like GPA.3366-5557-3392-88888. Sign in with the Google Account originally used to buy TeslaMirror, then try one of these methods:
- Google Play app: profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Budget & history.
- Google Play website: profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Budget & Order history.
- Google Payments: open Activity and select the TeslaMirror transaction.
- Search the purchase mailbox for “TeslaMirror”, “GPA.”, or “Google Play receipt”.
Send the complete GPA number when purchase verification is needed. Do not send passwords, verification codes, full card numbers, identity documents, or other sensitive information. See Google’s order-history instructions.
What happens to users who bought the older paid app?
Existing paid-app users retain lifetime Premium access. The current app also supports purchase restoration and lifetime promo-code redemption.

Privacy and support
TeslaMirror and its VPN component do not collect personal information, usage statistics, analytics, or logs. The local web server is not accessible from the public Internet.
